Salary: £12.25 – £12.45 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience

At Glenholme, we’re looking for dedicated Support Workers to join our Learning Disabilities Service in Stevenage. No experience is required – if you’re kind, patient, and empathetic, we’ll provide full training and ongoing support.

Whether you’ve worked in care before or come from a completely different background such as retail, hospitality, cleaning, admin, or customer service – we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Get

  • £12.25 per hour starting rate
  • £12.35 per hour after completing our paid-for Care Certificate
  • £12.45 per hour with a Level 2 or 3 NVQ in Health and Social Care

Your Role as a Support Worker

You will play a key role in promoting independence, dignity, and a fulfilling life for individuals with learning disabilities. Duties will include:

  • Providing personal care and emotional support
  • Teaching and supporting independent living skills
  • Supporting individuals with community-based activities such as social outings, leisure, and hobbies
  • Companionship and relationship building
  • Medication support and day-to-day health monitoring
