Job Role: Experienced Dementia Care Specialist – Senior Living

Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 dependent on experience

Location: Remote, with travel to Services in the East of England & Blackpool

The Role:

Glenholme have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Dementia Care Specialist to join our Senior Management Team, bringing their expertise, and knowledge, into a role where they will be given the autonomy to work on exciting projects, aimed at further enhancing the support we give our teams, and the residents they care for within our Dementia Care Services.

Required Experience & Qualification

• Studied Dementia through recognised University such as Stirling or Bradford

• Ability to write a dementia pathway and strategy, which links closely with the most recent research and national strategies

• Direct the training of dementia awareness

• Direct internal auditing of dementia care, making recommendations for improvements linked to best practice and current research

• Engaging personality, vibrant and energetic with a proven track record as a great leader

    • Ideally minimum 3 -5 years’ experience as a Registered Care Manager

    • Ideally Level 5 NVQ Health & Social Care

    • Evidence of CQC “Good” or “Outstanding” rating, whilst in the Registered Care Manager role

    • Minimum 3 years Clinical experience, working with people who have been diagnosed with Dementia

    • Established network to continue development in the field of Dementia

    • Knowledge and understanding of CQC Framework

    • Knowledge and understanding of legal and ethical legislation around Dementia Care

    • Experience of Training and Mentoring teams around Dementia Care

    • Full UK Driving Licence

    • Right to Work in the UK

    • Exceptional Organisational skills

    • Excellent Time Management

    • Proven Track Record in Designing, Implementing and Managing multiple projects

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and nurture our residential Dementia Care Services within our Senior Living Homes, submitting well researched, and structured plans for discussion and approval within the business.

    • Gather and analyse data, relating to the Dementia Care Services in our Senior Living Homes

    • Develop and maintain strong communication plans with all Stakeholder Groups, regarding our Dementia Care Services

    • Develop meaningful reports for Senior Management, identifying key measurables and actions required

    • Work with each Senior Living Home to creative a set of tangible objectives, stakeholder groups, timelines, budgets, key measurables, and recognition & rewards

    • Create content for Monthly Newsletters, LinkedIn Posts, and Articles to submit to Dementia Groups, about the work being done within Glenholme for our residents and their families.

    • Display strong leadership qualities, to inspire Teams, Managers, Residents, Families & Stakeholders

    • Identify training needs within the Senior Living Homes relating to our Dementia Care Services, and work with our Learning and Development Team to identify suitable courses or develop a bespoke one that can be delivered internally.

    • Create and carry out monthly audits to ensure we are compliant with regulatory and legislative requirements within our Dementia Care Services.
